Rebecca Louisa Ferguson Sundström (born 19 October 1983) is a Swedish actress. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden, to a Swedish mother and a British father. She grew up in Vasastan, Stockholm. Ferguson attended Adolf Fredrik’s Music School and studied dance, including ballet, tap, and jazz. Before acting, she worked as a model and taught tango.
Ferguson began her acting career in Swedish television, most notably in the soap opera Nya tider (1999-2000). She gained wider recognition for her role in the British horror film Drowning Ghost (2004) and the Swedish film Strandvaskaren (2004). Her breakthrough came with the British miniseries The White Queen (2013), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination.
Following The White Queen, Ferguson transitioned to Hollywood, securing roles in high-profile films. Her performance as Ilsa Faust in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015) significantly boosted her international profile. She reprised the role in Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023).
