Kate del Castillo Negrete Trillo, born on October 23, 1972, in Mexico City, Mexico, is a Mexican-American actress. She is the daughter of Eric del Castillo, a renowned actor, and Kate Trillo Graham. She began her acting career at a young age, following in her father’s footsteps.
Del Castillo’s acting career began in the early 1980s. She gained significant recognition in Mexico for her role in the telenovela “Muchachitas” (1991). Her career expanded beyond Mexico with roles in film and television productions in the United States and internationally.
Her breakthrough role in the United States came with her portrayal of Anastasia Cardona in the telenovela “Weeds” (2009). This role brought her international attention.
