Imogen Gay Poots (born June 3, 1989) is an English actress. She was born in Hammersmith, London, England, to Trevor Poots, a television producer, and Fiona Goodall, a journalist. She was raised in Chiswick, London, and attended Latymer Upper School.
Poots began her acting career with a small role in an episode of the British medical drama Casualty in 2004. She then appeared in V for Vendetta (2005) as Young Valerie. Early roles included appearances in various television shows and films, gradually building her experience and reputation.
Poots gained wider recognition for her performance in the horror film 28 Weeks Later (2007). This role marked a significant step in her career. She continued to gain momentum with roles in films like Cracks (2009), Centurion (2010), and Fright Night (2011).
