Anya Chalotra was born on July 21, 1996, in Wolverhampton, England. She is of Indian and English descent. She attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and previously trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Chalotra began her professional acting career primarily on stage. She gained experience in various theatre productions before transitioning to television.
Her television debut was in 2018 with appearances in the BBC series Wanderlust and the Sky One series The ABC Murders. She also had a recurring role in the BBC Two series Sherwood.
