Choi Jin-ri (Korean: 최진리; March 29, 1994 – October 14, 2019), better known as Sulli, was a South Korean actress, singer, and model. She was born in Busan, South Korea. She graduated from School of Performing Arts Seoul.
Sulli began her acting career at a young age, appearing in television dramas such as “Ballad of Seodong” (2005) and “Vacation” (2006). She became a trainee under SM Entertainment in 2005.
In September 2009, Sulli debuted as a member of the South Korean girl group f(x) under SM Entertainment. The group achieved significant success with hit songs like “La Cha Ta,” “Nu ABO,” “Pinocchio (Danger),” “Electric Shock,” and “Rum Pum Pum Pum.” She took a hiatus from the group in 2014 and officially left in August 2015 to focus on her acting career.
Following her departure from f(x), Sulli focused primarily on acting. She took on various roles in film and television, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
Sulli also appeared in the web series “Persona 2” which was unfortunately cancelled after her passing.
While Sulli did not receive major acting awards, her participation in commercially successful projects like “The Pirates” and her roles in popular dramas contributed to her recognition as a public figure and solidified
