Olivia Munn, born Lisa Olivia Munn on July 3, 1980, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is an American actress and model. Her mother, Kimberly Nguyen, is of Vietnamese descent, and her father, Winston Munn, is of German, Irish, and English ancestry. Due to her stepfather’s military career, she spent much of her childhood in Japan. She returned to the United States and attended the University of Oklahoma, where she majored in journalism and minored in Japanese and dramatic arts.
Munn began her professional career in television journalism, working as an intern at NBC affiliate KTUL in Tulsa. She later transitioned to Los Angeles, pursuing acting and hosting opportunities. Her early television work included hosting the G4 network’s show “Attack of the Show!” from 2006 to 2010. She also served as a correspondent on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” from 2010 to 2011.
