Emily Jean “Emma” Stone was born on November 6, 1988, in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Krista (née Yeager), a homemaker, and Jeffrey Charles Stone, the founder and CEO of a contracting company. She has a younger brother, Spencer. She began acting in youth theater productions at Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix. She left Xavier College Preparatory after one semester to pursue an acting career. In January 2004, she moved to Los Angeles with her mother.
