Yuliya Viktorovna Snigir (Russian: Юлия Викторовна Снигирь; born Yuliya Viktorovna Siriskina, June 2, 1983) is a Russian actress and model. She was born in Donskoy, Tula Oblast, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union.
Snigir initially studied at the State Pedagogical University in Moscow, intending to become an English teacher. However, she left her studies to pursue a career in modeling and acting.
Snigir’s acting career began in the mid-2000s. She received early recognition for her role in the Russian science fiction film The Inhabited Island (2008), directed by Fyodor Bondarchuk. This role served as a significant breakthrough in her career.
Snigir has appeared in numerous Russian and international film and television productions. She gained international recognition for her role as Nadezhda Petrovna in A Good Day to Die Hard (2013), alongside Bruce Willis. She portrayed Empress Catherine the Great in the Russian historical drama television series Ekaterina.
