Josephine Langford was born on August 18, 1997, in Perth, Western Australia, to Elizabeth Langford, a pediatrician, and Stephen Langford, a flying doctor and director of medical services. She is the younger sister of actress Katherine Langford. Josephine attended Perth Modern School, a selective academic school, and has pursued acting since her teenage years.
