Margaret “Meg” Tilly (born February 5, 1960) is an American-Canadian actress and novelist. She was born in Long Beach, California, to Patricia (née Tilly), a teacher, and Chadwick Tilly, a used car salesman. Her parents divorced when she was three, and she spent her childhood in rural British Columbia, Canada, with her mother and siblings.
Tilly initially pursued a career in ballet. She was a member of the Connecticut Ballet Company and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. A back injury forced her to discontinue ballet, leading her to pursue acting.
