Danica Curcic was born on August 27, 1985, in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (now Serbia). Her family moved to Copenhagen, Denmark, when she was one year old. She is of Serbian and Danish descent. She grew up in Copenhagen and speaks Danish, Serbian, and English fluently.
Curcic received her formal acting training at the Danish National School of Performing Arts, graduating in 2012. Prior to that, she studied film and media studies at the University of Copenhagen.
