Crystle Danae Stewart was born on September 20, 1981, in Houston, Texas. She attended Elkins High School in Missouri City, Texas, and later graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Science and Merchandising. During her time at the University of Houston, she was a member of the Zeta Phi Beta sorority.
Stewart is best known for her achievements in beauty pageants. She was crowned Miss Texas USA 2008 and subsequently Miss USA 2008. She represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant held in Nha Trang, Vietnam, where she finished in the Top 10.
