Chloe Bennet (born Chloe Wang; April 18, 1992) is an American actress and singer. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, to Bennet Wang, an investment banker, and Stephanie Crane, a physician. She has six brothers, three biological, two adopted, and one foster.
Before pursuing acting, Bennet began a singing career in China. She moved there at the age of 15 and studied Mandarin. Under the name Chloe Wang, she released the singles “Uh Oh” (Mandarin version: “Ai Ya”) and “Every Day In Between.” She subsequently moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
Bennet’s acting career began with a hosting role on the TeenNick summer series The Nightlife in 2010. Her breakthrough role came in 2013 when she was cast as Skye (later revealed to be Daisy Johnson/Quake) in the ABC superhero drama series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. She remained a main cast member throughout the show’s seven seasons (2013-2020).
