Barbara Linhares Ferreira, known professionally as Barbie Ferreira, was born on December 14, 1996, in Queens, New York City. She was raised by her mother and grandmother, both of whom are of Brazilian descent. Ferreira attended Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria, Queens.
Ferreira began her career as a model, working for brands such as Aerie, Adidas, and Forever 21.
