Daisy Eagan was born on November 4, 1979, in Brooklyn, New York. Her interest in performing arts began at a young age. She attended Professional Children’s School in New York City, which caters to young performers balancing education and careers.
Eagan began her acting career in the theater. Her breakthrough role came in 1991 when she originated the role of Mary Lennox in the Broadway musical adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s novel, The Secret Garden. At age 11, she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance, making her one of the youngest winners in Tony Award history. She shared the award with co-star Laura Bell Bundy.
Following her success in The Secret Garden, Eagan continued to work in theater. Notable stage credits include roles in productions such as Les Misérables (as Little Cosette), James Joyce’s The Dead, and On the Town.
Eagan has also appeared in film and television. Her film credits include roles in Ripe (1996) and Losing Isaiah (1995). She has also made guest appearances in television shows such as Without a Trace and The Unit.
Eagan continues to work in stage and film, often choosing projects that allow her to explore complex characters and narratives. She remains an active member of the performing arts community.
