Amy Beth Schumer was born on June 1, 1981, in New York City. She was raised on Long Island, New York. She attended South Side High School and graduated in 1999. Schumer graduated from Towson University in 2003 with a degree in theater. Before focusing on comedy, she worked as a waitress and bartender.
