Kaitlyn Dever was born on December 21, 1996, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Tim and Kathy Dever. She has two younger sisters, Mady and Jane. Dever’s family moved to Dallas, Texas, where she began taking acting classes at the age of five. She further honed her skills at the Young Actors Studio in Los Angeles after her family relocated there to support her budding acting career.
Dever began her acting career with minor roles in television series and films.
