Choi Jin-ri (최진리), professionally known as Sulli (설리), was born on March 29, 1994, in Busan, South Korea. She had two older brothers and a younger brother. Sulli attended Jungbu Elementary School and later Seoul Performing Arts High School.
Sulli began her acting career at a young age, appearing in television dramas and films as a child actress. In 2005, she made her acting debut in the SBS drama “The Ballad of Seodong.” She officially joined SM Entertainment in 2009.
Sulli debuted as a member of the South Korean girl group f(x) in September 2009. The group achieved significant success with hit songs like “La Cha Ta,” “Chu~♡,” “Nu ABO,” “Pinocchio (Danger),” “Electric Shock,” and “Rum Pum Pum Pum.” Sulli took a hiatus from group activities in 2014 due to malicious comments and cyberbullying before officially leaving f(x) in August 2015 to focus on her acting career.
Following her departure from f(x), Sulli continued her acting career, taking on various roles in films and dramas. She aimed to showcase her versatility through different genres and characters.
