Amy Lou Adams was born on August 20, 1974, in Vicenza, Veneto, Italy, to American parents Richard and Kathryn Adams. Her father was a U.S. Army serviceman stationed in Italy at the time of her birth. She is one of seven siblings. The family moved to Castle Rock, Colorado, where she grew up.
