Anita Briem (born May 29, 1982) is an Icelandic actress. She was born in Reykjavík, Iceland, and began her acting career at a young age. Her mother is Erna Þorsteinsdóttir, a singer, and her father is Gunnlaugur Briem, a drummer.

Education and Training

Briem graduated from the Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík in 2002. At the age of 16, she moved to London and studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), graduating in 2004.

Acting Career

Briem’s career began in Icelandic theatre and television. After graduating from RADA, she quickly gained international recognition. She has worked in film, television, and theatre productions in both English and Icelandic.
