Annie Parisse, born Anne Marie Cancelmi on July 31, 1975, in Anchorage, Alaska, is an American actress. She was raised in Mercer Island, Washington. Parisse attended Fordham University, where she studied theatre and graduated.
Parisse began her acting career in television. Her first major role was as Julia Snyder in the daytime soap opera “As the World Turns,” a role she held from 1998 to 2001. This provided her with valuable experience in the fast-paced world of television production.
Following her departure from “As the World Turns,” Parisse transitioned to primetime television. She gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Borgia in the NBC legal drama “Law & Order.” She was a regular cast member from 2005 to 2006.
Throughout her career, Parisse has consistently worked in television, appearing in notable series such as “Friends,” “Third Watch,” “Six Feet Under,” “Rescue Me,” “Fringe,” “Person of Interest,” “The Following,” and “Vinyl.” She also had a recurring role in the Netflix series “Friends from College.” She starred in the CBS drama “The Big Easy” and the Netflix series “Inventing Anna,” playing Maureen Watkins.
