Ashley Michele Greene was born on February 21, 1987, in Jacksonville, Florida, to parents Michele and Joe Greene. She grew up in Middleburg and Jacksonville, Florida. Her father was a U.S. Marine, and her mother worked in insurance. She has one brother, Joe.
Greene initially pursued a career in modeling but transitioned to acting after being told she was too short for high-fashion modeling.
