Charisma Carpenter was born on July 23, 1970, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her family moved frequently during her childhood, living in various locations including Mexico and San Diego. She attended Bonita High School in San Diego, where she was a cheerleader.
Before her acting career took off, Carpenter worked various jobs, including as a dance instructor and video store clerk. Her early television appearances included roles in commercials and uncredited parts in shows like “Baywatch.”
