Christina Ochoa Lopez, born January 25, 1985, in Barcelona, Spain, is a Spanish actress, science communicator, and writer. She comes from a prominent scientific family; her father is Spanish sculptor Victor Ochoa, and her great-uncle was Nobel Prize-winning neurobiologist Severo Ochoa. She pursued a scientific education, holding degrees in marine biology from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and oceanography from James Cook University in Australia.
Ochoa transitioned to acting after her scientific pursuits. She trained in various acting techniques and began her professional acting career in the United States.
Ochoa is primarily known for her television roles. She starred as Renn Randall in the El Rey Network drama series Matador (2014). She also had a recurring role as Isabel Navarro in the ABC drama series Modern Family (2015-2016). Ochoa gained further recognition for her role as Erica Diaz in the TNT drama series Animal Kingdom (2016-2019). She also starred as Ashley Morales in the ABC drama series A Million Little Things (2018-2023).
