Elizabeth Jane Hurley was born on June 10, 1965, in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England, to Angela Mary (née Tynan), a teacher, and Roy Leonard Hurley, an army major. She attended Kempshott Infant School, Kempshott Junior School, and then Basingstoke High School. Hurley took ballet and studied theatre and dance at the London Studio Centre before pursuing acting full-time.
Hurley began her acting career in the late 1980s, appearing in television shows and small film roles. Her early work included appearances in television series such as “Inspector Morse” (1988) and films like “Aria” (1987).
Hurley gained wider recognition in the 1990s. One of her more prominent roles came with her appearance in “Passenger 57” (1992).
