India Joy Eisley was born on October 29, 1993, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of actress Olivia Hussey and musician David Glen Eisley. Her maternal grandfather was Argentine opera singer Andrés Osuna.

Eisley began her acting career with a small role in the 2003 film Mother Teresa of Calcutta, where she played an uncredited role as an English girl.
