Izabella Anna Mikołajczak, known professionally as Izabella Miko, was born on January 21, 1981, in Łódź, Poland. She is a Polish actress, dancer, and producer. Her early passion was ballet, and she trained extensively from a young age, with ambitions to become a professional ballerina.
Miko began her dance training at the age of 10 at the National Ballet School in Warsaw. She moved to New York City at the age of 15 to further pursue her ballet career at the School of American Ballet. A back injury curtailed her ballet aspirations, leading her to explore acting.
