Jennifer Aniston was born Jennifer Joanna Aniston on February 11, 1969, in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California, to actors John Aniston and Nancy Dow. Her father is of Greek descent, and her mother was of Scottish, Irish, English, and Italian ancestry. She spent part of her childhood in Greece before returning to the United States. Aniston attended the Rudolf Steiner School in New York City.
Aniston began her acting career with uncredited roles and small television appearances.
