Jodi Lyn O’Keefe was born on October 10, 1978, in Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey. She is the youngest of three daughters. Her mother is a homemaker, and her father worked as a director of labor relations for Merck. O’Keefe began modeling at the age of eight and quickly transitioned into acting.
O’Keefe began her acting career with a recurring role as Marguerite “Maggie” Cory on the soap opera “Another World” from 1995 to 1998. This early exposure provided a solid foundation for her future roles in television and film.
Following her soap opera debut, O’Keefe gained wider recognition for her role as Cassidy “Cassie” Cartwright on The WB’s “The Crow: Stairway to Heaven” (1998-1999). She is perhaps most known for her portrayal of Gretchen Morgan in the Fox television series “Prison Break” (2007-2009), a role that showcased her range and ability to play complex characters. She also had recurring roles in shows such as “Nash Bridges” (1996-2001), “Two and a Half Men” (2004-2015), and “Hit the Floor” (2014-2016).
