Lucy Fry was born on March 13, 1992, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She attended Brisbane Girls Grammar School and also trained at the Brisbane Powerhouse and Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre. Prior to acting, she pursued modeling and was a finalist in the 2008 Girlfriend Model Search.
Fry began her acting career in Australian television. Her early roles included appearances in the television series “H2O: Just Add Water” in 2010 and “Lightning Point” in 2012. “Lightning Point,” where she played Zoey, marked her first leading role.
Fry gained international recognition for her role as Lissa Dragomir in the film “Vampire Academy” (2014), based on the popular young adult novel series. She also starred as Marina in the Australian television series “Mako: Island of Secrets” (2013).
Further significant roles include her portrayal of Irisa Amaria in the science fiction series “Defiance” (2015), a recurring role as Stephanie Quinn in the Hulu miniseries “11.22.63” (2016), adapted from Stephen King’s novel, and her role as Tikka in the Netflix film “Bright” (2017).
In 2019, she starred as Stella Maeve in the Epix crime drama series “Godfather of Harlem.” She further expanded her filmography with roles in movies such as “Night Teeth” (2021) and “The Royal Hotel” (2023).
