Sarah Margaret Qualley, professionally known as Margaret Qualley, was born on October 23, 1994, in Kalispell, Montana. She is the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell and former model Paul Qualley. She has an older brother, Justin, and an older sister, Rainey, who is also an actress and singer. Qualley spent her early years in Missoula, Montana, before moving to North Carolina. Initially pursuing a career in ballet, she trained at the American Ballet Theatre and the North Carolina School of the Arts. At 16, she switched her focus to modeling and moved to New York City.
