Maya Erskine was born on May 7, 1987, in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Mutsuko Erskine, is Japanese, and her father, Peter Erskine, is American. She graduated from Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica and attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied acting.
