Milica Bogdanovna Jovović, known professionally as Milla Jovovich, was born on December 17, 1975, in Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union (present-day Ukraine). Her mother, Galina Loginova, is a Soviet-Russian actress, and her father, Bogdan Jovović, was a Serbian pediatrician. In 1980, her family emigrated from the Soviet Union, first to London and then to Sacramento, California. Eventually, they settled in Los Angeles.

Modeling Career
