Miranda Rae Mayo was born on August 14, 1990, in Fresno, California. She attended Roosevelt School of the Arts, where she studied acting and musical theater. Before pursuing acting professionally, she worked as a model.
Mayo’s acting career began with television appearances. She made her debut in an episode of “Law & Order: LA” in 2011. Following this, she secured roles in various television series, including “The Game,” “Supah Ninjas,” “Pretty Little Liars,” and “Days of Our Lives.”
Mayo gained significant recognition for her role as Lacey Briggs in the ABC drama series “Blood & Oil” (2015). Her most prominent and longest-running role is as Stella Kidd in the NBC drama series “Chicago Fire,” which she joined in 2016. As Stella Kidd, she has become a central character, showcasing her acting range and contributing significantly to the show’s narrative. Mayo has also appeared in crossover episodes within the “Chicago” franchise, including “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Med.”
