Serinda Swan was born on July 11, 1984, in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Her father is a theater director and actor, and her mother is a graphic designer. Swan has Scottish and Indian ancestry.
Swan began her acting career with minor roles in television series and films in the early 2000s. She gained experience through various guest appearances and supporting roles.
Swan’s career gained momentum with recurring roles in popular television series. She is known for her portrayal of Erica Reed in the A&E series Breakout Kings (2011-2012). She further achieved recognition as Paige Arkin in USA Network’s Graceland (2013-2015).
Swan secured a leading role as Jennifer “Jenna” Song in the HBO Canada series Ballers (2015-2019), starring Dwayne Johnson. She also starred as Medusa in the ABC series Inhumans (2017). More recently, she starred as Jenny Cooper in the CBC series Coroner (2019-2023).
While primarily known for her television work, Swan has also appeared in several films. Some of her notable film credits include Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), Tron: Legacy (2010), and Creature (2011).
