Sherilyn Fenn was born Sherilyn Ann Fenn on February 1, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan. Her mother, Arlene Quatro, was a musician, and her father, Leo Fenn, was a music manager. She is of Italian, Irish, and Hungarian descent. She spent her childhood travelling extensively with her mother’s all-girl band, “The Pleasure Seekers,” and later, “Fanny”.
Fenn began her acting career in the early 1980s. She made her film debut in the 1984 film “The Wild Life.” She also appeared in television shows such as “Cheers” and “21 Jump Street” during this period.
Fenn’s breakthrough role came in 1990 when she was cast as Audrey Horne in David Lynch’s television series “Twin Peaks.” Her portrayal of the alluring and enigmatic teenager garnered critical acclaim and established her as a prominent actress. She received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in 1990.
