Sophie Belinda Jonas (née Turner) was born on February 21, 1996, in Northampton, England, to Sally, a nursery school teacher, and Andrew, who works for a pallet distribution company. She moved to Warwick at the age of two. Turner attended Warwick Prep School until age 11, and later attended The King’s High School for Girls. She was a member of the Playbox Theatre Company from the age of three.
Turner’s acting career began in 2011 when she was cast as Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy television series Game of Thrones. This role marked her professional acting debut. She appeared in all eight seasons of the series, which concluded in 2019.
Beyond Game of Thrones, Turner has appeared in a variety of film and television projects, demonstrating her versatility as an actress.
